PowerPoint was used to create simple books for use in early literacy instruction. Two of these books are available here for you to download. You can use them as electronic books, using them on your computer, allowing children to 'page' through the book using a mouse click or a single switch. When used electronically, each page is spoken, allowing a child to read the book independently. Or you may print the books, bind them (or just staple them), and use them as traditional books. Directions for creating more books on your own are included in the 'Creating and Implementing Electronic Books' section on this website. When creating your own, you can make them as simple or complex as needed to meet the literacy needs of your students. Please keep in mind the copyright laws when creating books from existing books. I
