Independence By Design September 8 & 9, 2008 Held at the Ramada Inn in Stevens Point, WI. This two-day workshop was developed by WATI to support the active engagement of students with significant physical disabilities in tasks within their natural environments, using digital technologies. Presenters are Karen Kangas, OTR/L ATP, and Lisa Rotelli, Education Coordinator for Adaptive Switch Labs Inc. Creating Communication Environments (CCE) Dates: October 20, 2008; December 9, 2008; January 30, 2009; and March 31, 2009. Held at CESAs 1 & 2 This 4-day series is designed for staff struggling with the implementation of AAC systems, including language boards and low-tech to high-tech devices, across the school environment.
